Virginia’s controversial voter roll purge raises alarms over disenfranchisement and sets a national precedent, impacting voting rights for eligible citizens.

The Virginia shooting comes days after a gunman killed five people at an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado Springs.

The finger-pointing started days before the polls opened in Virginia, a state that has trended blue in recent years and that President Joe Biden won by 10 percentage points in 2020.

If Gov. Northam’s exit becomes one more potent lever against continued Trumpery, he achieves both partial atonement and participation in removing a national disgrace.

Many local politicians have openly criticized authorities in New York and Virginia for backing the deals, which will create a total of 50,000 jobs.

The charges against members of the Rise Above Movement come weeks after four other members or associates of the group were indicted on riot charges in Virginia.
