Jill Stein finally was given a chance to respond to the same questions posed to Trump and Clinton.

The Conversation’s experts from Australia and the US were watching the debate. Their responses follow.

“Can it be imagined that an American president would openly implore the nation’s young people to fight a foreign war to defend ‘capitalism’?”

Climate change is real, and it is worsening. That it should play a central role in the U.S. elections is undebatable.

“As our cities and towns crumble, literally and financially, we are ready to anoint one of these two predators as the new stooge of empire.”

The one, in a vain effort to conceal his own ignorance, offers rambling nonsense. The other, accustomed to making her own rules, simply changes the subject.

Hillary has been talking the progressive talk, but would she walk the walk? Either way, if she becomes president, someone will have to go out and make her do it.
