55-year-old William Celli of Richmond California was arrested this week for building explosives with the intention of hurting Muslims. His entire neighborhood had to be evacuated.
A threat was called in by an anonymous individual who said the Celli was building explosive devices and threatening to use them against Muslims. The called may have been a neighbor.
Police took three days to respond to the threat. When they finally did, they evacuated the entire neighborhood and deactivated a homemade bomb. They were not sure if the bomb was active or not.
Celli is a dedicated supporter of Donald Trump, whom he would follow “to the end of the world.”

Trump’s recent anti-Muslim comments have been increasingly linked to an increase in violent activity from white right-wing extremists. A recent report released by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) states that 2015 has shown the highest number of violent incidents against American mosques since they began keeping track six years ago. Nearly half of all incidents in 2015 occurred after the November 13 attack in Paris.
Celli, who is married and owns his own plumbing company, has been in Contra Costa County Jail since Sunday.
