Matthew Landry is a postdoctoral research scholar in the Stanford Prevention Research Center in the School of Medicine at Stanford University. Matthew received his Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences from Louisiana State University and his doctoral degree in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin. His research is focused on examining overall dietary quality and composition of a healthful diet on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and risk factors for chronic diseases and the utilization of novel, dietary interventions as conduits to promote health at the population level. He is committed to working in the advocacy of policies that will address nutrition-related health inequalities and exploring policies that provide equitable access and availability to nutritious foods.
