Dearest Readers,
So far this quarter, NationofChange has reached more than half a million people across the US. We’ve delivered the stories the mainstream media doesn’t want you to see on police violence, climate justice, income inequality, and more.
This quarter, we once again refused to sit on the sidelines and simply write about progressive issues. We took to the streets, joining over 1,000 cities across the US to bring you boots-on-the-ground coverage of the #ProtectMuller protests that erupted across the nation.
This quarter is notable for another reason as well. We have cut the amount of fundraisers we’ve run this year to one third the amount of last year.
In other words, we’ve gotten more done with less, an ideal that we don’t only highlight in our reporting, but also embody in our organization.
Our shoestring budget is important because it means that we don’t have to rely on the financial support of corporations and ad revenue. We can raise our budget from the people we exist for: readers like you.
