San Juan’s mayor, Carmen Yulín Cruz, criticized Trump and his lack of aid for the victims of Hurricane Maria in an emotional plea for help. Trump has now retaliated by calling Puerto Ricans lazy and ungrateful.
The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.

Hurricane Maria has damaged Puerto Rico to a state of ‘apocalyptic’ devastation. Gov. Ricardo Rosselló has said the island faces a humanitarian crisis and urged Congress to approve a commensurate aid package.
“We need something tangible, a bill that actually answers to our need right now,” he said. “Otherwise, there will be … a massive exodus to the (mainland) United States.”
President Trump has pledged federal help to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, but a date has not been set to send help and funds.
“The federal response has been anything but slow,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said. “In fact, there’s been an unprecedented push-through of billions of dollars of federal assistance that the administration has fought for.”
