Around the country thousands marched this tax day, calling on Trump to release his tax returns. Over 150 marches were scheduled around the nation. Presidents are not required to release their tax returns, but all have done so since Richard Nixon’s tax-related ethics blaze.

“Releasing your tax returns is lowest ethical bar for a president,” Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) said. “And we’re going to make sure he clears that hurdle.”
“In America, no one is above the law, and all of us are subject to it,” the Maryland congressman, Rep. Jamie B. Raskin (D-Md.), said. “If you don’t release your taxes, we have no way of knowing if you are putting America first, or Donald Trump first.”
Trump is currently the only modern president who has refused to divest in his business holdings while in office and claims his 2015 taxes are still under audit.
